How does your fall mum fundraiser work?

You sell our 9” locally grown mums and keep the profit from your sales. In fact, you set your own margins! We recommend a retail price but you can determine your own.

Why mums? Mums are some of the best flowers for Pennsylvania gardens! They are great for local pollinators and they’re hardy perennials (meaning they’ll come back next year if taken care of properly). Mums are also rabbit-resistant, and they bloom throughout the fall. How can you not love mums?

How does pickup / delivery of your fall mums work?

You have three options when it comes to your mum order.

Option 1: Our mums are grown at our farm located in Nisbet (the town you come to once you drive through South Williamsport). We invite your group to come to our fields and pick up your mums on a given specific date at a specific time. This works really well for South Williamsport Youth Football and Cheer. They have their customers come to our location during a three hour block on a specific day of the week. We help their customers get their order into their car and they are on their way. They have previously been paid for so no money is exchanged during the pick up time. If you choose this option, you pay $4.40 per 9” mum. No pickup/delivery fee is added on. You also have color choice options to provide to your customers. When ordering they can choose orange, yellow, purple, or red.

Option 2: We deliver your mums to a location of your choice on a specific day and time. We ask that the location of your choosing is large enough to fit our box truck. The mums are on carts when they comeoff the truck, so we also ask that the location is flat for unloading the carts. If you choose this option, you pay $4.40 per 9” mum. There is a delivery fee tacked onto your total for this option. Our Mudelivery fee is $50.00 per truck load. Our box truck fits 336 mums. If you choose this option and your total order exceeds 336, you will pay the delivery fee as many times as we have to drive to your location. For example if we deliver 2 times, you’ll pay $100. You do not have color choice options to provide to your customers. We will bring an assortment of yellow, red, orange, and purple with no specific amount of each. This option works best if you have clear communication with your group. Your customers must pick up the mums at your location the day we deliver on that day we deliver.

Option 3: Your mum orders can be picked up from our retail stand on Four Mile Drive by your customers. Your customers will order their mums from your group. Once you have gathered all your orders and they are paid for, you’ll hand over your order forms to us. At the time we possess your order forms, payment to us is due. Your customers can then come in to pick up their mums during a 10 day window of September 25- October 5. When they come in, they give us their name, we find their order, and are then able to know how many mums they are to pick up to fulfill their order and we can cross their name off of the order list. If you choose this option, you pay $4.75 per 9” mum. There is no pick up fee tacked onto your total for this option. You do not have color choice options to provide to your customers. We will have an assortment of yellow, red, orange, and purple available with no guarantee what amounts of each color will be available on their day of pick up.

What are the important deadline dates for our mum fundraiser?

August 1st: We ask that your group commits to the fundraiser with email confirmation (tebbsfarmsgreenhouses@gmail.com) September 20: Your orders and payment are due to us. September 25-October 5: The pick up window at our stand on Four Mile Drive is open.

What if I choose the delivery option?

We ask that if you choose the delivery option and would like a date prior to September 25, you give us at least 5 days notice, meaning you will need to get your order to us at least 5 days before your scheduled delivery date. This is because we need at least 5 days to get your mums ready for their new homes.

How do I sign my group up?

Space is limited, so we recommend you sign up as soon as possible to lock in your spot. Submit the form to apply for a limited position in the mum fundraiser.
